Formrite Plastics has invested in CAD/CAM equipment for in house design, programming, machining and tooling to ensure shorter lead times from concept to sample to production.
Formrite meets with the client to discuss product requirements. The design process is underway and the following steps are carried out:
Design is drawn up in Formrites computer aided design programme
A wooden forming mould is made
Plastic is vacuum formed over the wooden mould to produce a sample
After sample is approved an aluminium mould is CNC Machined
Other die components are precision machined
Finish die, ready for production
